Keppel Bay & Privé

Knowing that I wanted to try out Privé cafe at Keppel Bay, Alex surprised me on his off day and brought me there :)
We had lunch at the nearby Vivocity before heading to Keppel Bay for tea break.
It wasn't a very hot day, which was good cos it meant we could take a stroll without feeling all icky and sticky after.
The Marina at Keppel Bay makes a nice spot for a stroll cos you get to see many yachts parked there and the calm and serene surroundings makes it so inviting at the same time.

Reflections at Keppel Bay

Because the surroundings were so pretty, we did a little shoot hahaha!
Wearing a vintage inspired polkadot maxi dress with back details and big o'l floppy hat

The back details <3
You can see the sky is getting darker and the grey clouds are rolling in,time to run for cover!

We went for our little tea break at Privé where we ordered a mudpie to share. Good thing we ordered only one...it was HUGE!
I think it was about the size of Coffee Club's mudpie which is also known to be biggg.
We didn't order anything else cos we were still pretty full from lunch.

Walked around alittle more to try to digest that big slab of mudpie we just had before heading to 313 for some shopping where we had some drinks at Dolce Tokyo cafe after dinner much later.

I must've borrowed Alex's drinks for this photo cos I don't remember me having this drink with ice-cream..I'm not really a fan of milkshakes or tea with milk.. hahaha..

That pretty much sums up our day out,
till next time! :)

Brawn & Brains

Brawn & Brains is a cosy little cafe tucked away in the quaint old airport road estate, where the old Singapore Badminton Hall is.
Ever since trying them out early last year, this cafe quickly became one of our favourite places for a cuppa and chill. You'll always be welcomed with a warm and genuine "hello!" and smile from basically everyone there :)
It's also great that this place is a stone's throw away from town (Suntec/ City Hall) and is easily accessible by quite a number of buses (e.g.: 7, 197, 70).
You'd be happy to know that the bus stop is right outside.
This pic was taken during off their peak period, as you can see everyone has a seat to enjoy their coffee and snack.
During their peak period like lunch time..omg its totally packed!
They have two coffee blends for you to choose from; Single Origin Guatemala blend & Colombian Supreme & Sumatra Lin Tong blend.
They also serve small bites like croissants, tarts, pastries for those feeling peckish and if you're a little hungrier, they also have wraps and sandwiches.
These are some pictures of what we had over the many times we've been here, enjoy!

Tried the lemon tart,
its quite good cos its neither too sour nor too sweet and the crust is not the hard type so it won't really flake when you cut it.
One of the best things I've tried!
The curried chicken sandwich, well this originally comes in a wrap for but I'm a sandwich kinda girl so I opted for swap.
My, my...the curry chicken chunks were so tasty!
It comes with chips on the side and they go so well ;)
Salted Caramel Swirl was not bad too!

The address :)
Alex aka @coffeeholicboy doing his "thing" ;)
Hahaha! How to resist and not take a pic with their interesting signage?
Thanks for the helping us take this pic Gwen! :)

Brawn & Brains

Here's what I wore

I wanted my houndstooth vest to be the focal point of my outfit so I kept everything else simple, black on black so the whole outfit had a monochrome theme going on..
But of course, I'm not one to stick to a pure monochrome theme so I added a pop of yellow with my bag!
There you have it, a modern, minimalist look of the day :)

Vest: Bangkok
Bottom: Zara
Necklace: Lovisa
Bag & Shoes: Charles & Keith

Have a lovely Thursday!
